Refunds & Cancellations

This policy explains how to cancel a subscription and when you can get a refund for a purchase on SystemDesign.so. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
SystemDesign.so is operated by Westbridge Technologies, a sole proprietorship registered in India.
1. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings (Billing). Cancellation stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to your paid plan until that period ends, and you will not be charged again after you cancel. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period that you have already started, except as described below or where required by law.
2. Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund window for the following cases. Contact support@systemdesign.so within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right:
- First-time charges. If you bought a plan or credits for the first time and it is not what you expected, you can request a refund.
- Accidental or duplicate charges. If you were billed twice for the same thing, or were charged by mistake, we will refund the duplicate or erroneous charge.
- Billing errors and service outages. If you were charged the wrong amount, or a material service outage prevented you from using a session you paid for, we will refund or credit you.
Outside these cases, and except where required by law, payments for credits and session minutes are generally non-refundable. Promotional, bonus, or complimentary credits carry no cash value and are not refundable. Credits and session minutes may expire as described in our Terms of Service; expired balances are not refundable.
We may decline, withhold, or reverse a refund where we reasonably believe a request is fraudulent or abusive, or forms part of repeated refund-and-repurchase activity intended to use the Service without paying for it.
3. Your statutory rights (EU, EEA & UK)
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, in addition to the cases above. Because interview credits and session minutes are digital content and services that we make available right away, at checkout you ask us to provide them immediately and expressly acknowledge that you lose this 14-day right of withdrawal once you begin using the credits or session minutes you purchased. Until you begin using them, you may withdraw and receive a refund of the unused amount. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@systemdesign.so from the email address on your account with the word “Refund” in the subject. Include the approximate date of the charge and, if you have it, the order or invoice number from your receipt. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
5. Merchant of record
Payments on SystemDesign.so are processed by our merchant of record. Your purchase is made through a third-party merchant of record, which acts as the seller of record for the transaction; the merchant of record’s business name and contact details appear on your receipt and invoice. The merchant of record’s own refund and billing policy also applies to your transaction, and refunds are returned through the merchant of record. Where the two policies differ, we will honor whichever is more favorable to you to the extent we are able. The merchant of record may also issue a refund at its own discretion — for example, to resolve a payment dispute or prevent a chargeback — even where this policy would not otherwise require one.
